I write to confirm that Lord Belstead will be pleased to meet the Committee on Wednesday, 10 November at 10.30 am as we discussed to brief members on the political background to their forthcoming visit to ASEAN countries and Hong Kong.

As a basis for this briefing, we hope to get to you on 25 October the written briefs you requested on the four countries being visited.

Lord Belstead will be accompanied by two to three officials. Would you please confirm nearer the time that the meeting will be in Committee Room 16 in the House?
