Parliamentary Select Committee
on Industry and Trade
Thank you for your letter of 9th July to Sir
E. Youde.
2. The dates proposed for this visit are acceptable to us and, if the Committee wishes to be briefed on bilateral matters, we should be glad to help in any way we can. But I imagine the Committees will be mainly concerned with the British performance in this market (trade and investment) and the activities of the British Trade Commission. this letter to the Senior British Trade Commissioner
So I am copying (now Mr. Christian Adams) with a request that he confirms direct to you that the dates suit him as well. I presume that he will also be responsible for assisting you with arrangements for the visit, but we should be happy, of course, to assist also in any way we can.
