Thank you for sending Ken Temple a copy of your letter of 3 September to John Parker, Department of Health and Social Security. Ken has now been replaced in Health and Population Division by Trevor Wilshire (at present on leave).

We agree with the proposals in paragraph 2 of your letter and have briefed our delegates accordingly.

Dr Penelope Key will be our delegate at the Washington meeting and Dr J A B Nicholson will be our delegate at the Manila meeting. Dr SH Lee, Deputy Director of Medical and Health Services, Hong Kong, will be assist- ing Dr Nicholson in an advisory capacity at the Manila meeting.
