1. Member countries of the CTO have been discussing
over the past year and a half new financial arrange-
ments to replace the last Financial Agreement of
1974 which has proved unworkable. Part of the
new arrangements gomprises setting up a new Technical

wealth countries would contribute.
2. British Telecom said that they were prepared
to contribute to the fund. However, they pointed
out that they would on principle object to doing so

fund. To resolve this difficulty, C & W undertook
to contribute to the fund the same amount they
expected to receive from it. They therefore pledged

C & W wish attribution of these sums to be
