COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION: PARLIAMENTARY SEMINAR 1982: 2-20 MARCH

1.

As you may know, the UK Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association organises an annual seminar at Westminster on Parliamentary Practice and Procedure. The Seminar provides for an exchange of views between Commonwealth MPS on parliamentary government generally, and also affords those attending a considerable insight into the working of Britain's parliamentary system.

As in previous years a number of original invitees found they were unable to attend, and the CPA therefore extended their invitations to include representatives from Bermuda Gibraltar and Hong Kong.

2.

3. I attach for your information a list, with biographical details, of the participants and an abridged version of the advance programme. The CPA will be letting us know how the Seminar goes, and if there is anything noteworthy about the performance of your'' particular participant we will pass it on.
