Five members from Westem European and other States.

The Aivisory Committee also expressed the hope that regional

groups at United Nations Hesuquenters voula discuss this matter among themselves so as to be in a position to make known their proposed nominations for the seats on the General Committee at the pre-Conference consultations scheduled for 24 and 25 July 1982.

With regard to the Credentials Committee, rule of the provisional rules of procedure provides that a Credentials Committee

of nine members shall be appointed at the beginning of the World

Assembly and chat its membership shall be based on that of the

Credentials Committes of the General Assembly at is thirty-sixth

session. In accordance with past practice at United Nations

conferences, the Advisory Committee recommended, by decision 4 (III) shat, fu conr unity with ride or the provisional rules of procedure

the World Assembly should appodum hins, dhene. the Netherlands,

the Mixer, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, the Union of Soviet Socialist Repuolics and the United States of America ur members

of the Credentials Commsttee, on the understanding what if a State

is not present, the Assembly should replace that State by another

State from the came regional group, designated by that group.

With regard to the report of the World Assembly, the Advisory Committee recommended that, in accordance with the practice at previous United Nations conferences: (a) The report of the World Assembly should consist of the decisions of the Assembly; a brief

account of the events leading to the convening of the World Assembly; the proceedings, including a summary of the general debate in plenary meetings and a repertorial account of the work of the Main Committee and of the action taken on its recommendations in plenary meetings; and (b) each regional group should be requested to designate, before
