Mr Williams, UND
ADJOURNMENT DEBATE: ARTICLE 73
M20412
1. We spoke. This is simply to confirm that Mr Tom Arnold MP rang this afternoon to say that he had given over some of the time allocated to him in the Debate tomorrow to Mr Robert Rhodes James MP and to Mr Jim Lester MP. He said that he had no reason to believe that either Speaker would mount any particular hobby-horse, but that Mr Lester was a former Parliamentary delegate to the UN and remained keen (as he did) that this Procedure should continue.
2. I cannot think that there is need for any additional briefing to take account of this change of circumstances.
