1.

Some time ago in October we were asked a number of questions as a follow up to the Research Department paper on Macao. Some we were able to answer immediately, but I wonder if you could help with the following:

2.

a.

What flag does Macao fly and what is its policy on flags? Is the Taiwanese flag allowed to be flown?

b. What is Macao's National Anthem? If it is not the Portuguese National Hymn or Anthem is that nonetheless ever played?

C. There is an element of election to the Legislative Assembly, but are there any other forms of elections held eg, Urban or District Boards of any kind?

d. What is the composition of the Legislative Assembly?

We have not so far asked the Portuguese Embassy in London these questions in case you can help. If you cannot, that will be our next step.

yours sincerely.
