What is the position on the return of other HKC crews?

A.

It is our intention to replace HKC crews with further HKC personnel subject to their avilability. It is hoped to resume exchanges as soon as possible.

The HKC onboard RN ships are not employed by the Royal Fleet

Q. How many HKC have been killed or injured in this conflict?

A.

11 HKC Royal Fleet Auxiliary personnel have been injured in this conflict and sadly we have sustained 6 deaths from amongst our HKC crew. (2 from the container ship ATLANTIC CONVEYOR, 2 from RFA SIR GALAHAD and 2 from

RFA SIR TRISTRAM). In addition 2 deaths of unofficial HKC took place on HM Ships.

What effect will this have on the redundancy programme which RFA was implementing?

A. Redundancy action is temporarily suspended.
