16. SCIPLINE AND FINE
Discipline shall be exercised
in accordance with the United Kingdom
law as will also the authorised scale of fines. Fines imposed by the Master and not cancelled subsequently shall be disposed of in accordance with the United Kingdom law.
17. HYGIENE
A seaman shall keep his quarters and communal spaces such as messrooms, toilets, bathrooms, alleyways and recreation rooms clean to the satisfaction of the Master. This work is to be performed outside normal working hours and no overtime shall be claimed.
18. SEAMAN'S UNEMPLOYMENT IDENTITY
Where the ship is lost or wrecked necessitating the termination of the Agreement before the date contemplated in the agreement a seaman shall, in accordance with United Kingdom law, be entitled in respect of each day on which he is in fact unemployed during a period of two months from the date of termination of his service, to receive wages, at the rate to which he was entitled at that date; provide that, a seaman shall not be entitled to receive wages in respect of any day if the employer shows that the un- employment was not due to the wreck or loss of the ship, and shall not be entitled to receive wages if the employer shows that the seaman was able to obtain suitable employment on that day.
19. UNIFORM
Each member of the Catering Department will be expected to provide himself with suitable uniform which must be worn at such times as may be required by the Master.
Uniform provided to any other crew member must be worn at such times as may be provided by the Master.
