I enclose an amended copy of the draft reply to the petitioners in respect of the Hong Kong Seaman in the Falklands.
The draft reply has been agreed in London by the Assistant Director Supplies & Transport Branch 74 - the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Manager.
The area in which a bonus will be paid has been increased but the amended draft excludes the size of the bonus to be paid as this will vary but, in any event, will be no less than 100% as stated in the contract. If it is considered important to include details of the bonus the final sentence of the third paragraph should read 'This bonus will be 100% of their pay or greater'
