Labour Conventions

To seek to improve the application of ILO Conventions to Hong Kong

The Bill was gazetted for public comment on 6.8.82 and introduced to Legislative Council on 13.10.82. Resumption of second reading on 24.11.82. The intention is that all provisions except those concerning compulsory insurance should be brought into force six months after the publication of the amending Bill in the gazette and the provision on compulsory insurance to come into force six months later.

A revised Bill is under preparation.
