Laboratory
To launch Stage II of the Consultancy (design of the Centre on a site on Wanchai
Reclamation).
To design a standards and calibration
laboratory that would initially provide
calibration
facilities for
the electronics
industry and
Government departments.
With approval from the Central Consultancy Selection Board, DTIC commissioned Stage II of the Consultancy in July. Work started straight away.
Finance Committee has approved funds for the laboratory. A standards and calibration labora- tory is expected to be in operation in 1983.
The Consultancy is expected to be
completed at the end of 1982.
To monitor (and assist as necessary) recruitment of staff, ordering of equipment, locating and fitting out of accommodation and setting of a scale of fees for services.
