Gas Safety
To determine to what extent the recommen- dations of the gas safety consultants should be accepted and to oversee implementa- tion of improved
gas safety measures.
(a) ExCo approved a comprehensive policy for gas safety and the development of pined supplies, as recommended by the Gas Safety Committee.
(b) Gas Adviser and one Chief
Engineer appointed (to start in September) Second Chief Engineer and staff being recruited.
Gas Safety Committee to continue in existence, prepare progress reports on gas safety improve- ments by the new Gas Adviser's Office and facilitate the rapid expansion of a safe piped gas supply.
