The growth in 1983/84 will be due mainly to the completion of the Lee Wai Lee Technical Institute (LWLTI) Stage II development, which will add 3000 full-time and part-time day places to LWLTI.

The growth in 1984/85 is accounted for mainly by the completion of an annex to the main building of the Haking Wong Technical Institute, providing 640 full-time and part-time day places and the second year development of the LWLTI Stage II.

In 1985/86 the Tuen Mun Technical Institute will be ready, and about 60% of its capacity will be put to use that year.
