Progress Made & Present Position
(a) Ferry Services Bill approved by
ExCo on 27 April, 82. Bill to be introduced in Leg. Co. on 5th May.
(b) Franchise is under discussion with
the ferry company.
To be submitted to ExCo in June.
Next Quarter Targets
(a) Submit draft franchises
to ExCo.
(b)(i) Policy group to meet
and decide land and financial arrangements for HYF's pier development.
(ii) Enter negotiations
with HYF for develop-
ment at ferry piers.
(c) HIF have requested a significant
reduction in the scope of their pier development programme, together with revised terms for their funding and development of Jubilée Street Ferry Pier.
