Government Printer's role to produce a new high security version of the H.K.I.D. Card.
Funds approved by FC and revote/. provision included in 1982/83 estimates of expenditure. Target date for production set at November 1982 but dependent on 28 (a) availability of ready secure accommodation for product- ion: and (b) provision of increased power supply. GP continued zexamination of security features and suitable paper/ equipment for the card. Supernumerary post of Chief Printing Superintendent to oversee the project created for -3 months; submission for approval of ESC for extension of the period is being. processed by FB.
