Helicopter Services (sites for)

(a) To consider proposals

for scheduled inter- national services between Hong Kong, Macau and China.

(b) To replace the exis-

ting helipad at Harcourt Road.

As regards (a);

An ad hoc working groud has determined that :

(1.)

Kai Tak is not suitable or feasible for use as a beliport:

(ii) the roof of the

Fung For car park is suitable and feasible.

As regards (h):

The same working group has

(i)

a

ruled out the use of pontoons;

(ii) ruled out the use

of the Wanchai Peclamation sites

on a long-term

hasis on account of

their proximity to the Arts Centre and the Academy of Performing Arts.

(iii) identified three

possible sites along the northern shore of Hong Kong Island.

endorsement for the sites identified, and

to form a working

party to examine in greater detail the problems involved in the development of these sites.
