Since it has recently been announced that a judgement has gone against the British Government in respect to the law on homosexuality in Northern Ireland I am writing to you to ask what is the official policy in respect of the FALKLAND ISLANDS for which I understand the Foreign and Commonwealth Office still holds responsibility. It is my belief that

the present laws reflect the situation in England and Wales before the passing of the 1967 Act.

I trust that you will be able to assure me that it is the Government's intention to make homosexual acts between consenting adults legal.
