Thank you for your letter of 9 May, which the Home Office have passed to us.

I regret that we are unable to spare the time to do the research which you require on the laws in dependent territories applicable to homosexual practices. What I suggest is that, if you visit London, you call at the FCO Library in Room 213, Downing Street East and consult the collection of territories' legislation held there. The Library is open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you might consider writing direct to each territory for the information.

General information on the dependent territories, including their constitutional status and administrations, is contained in the Commonwealth Year Book, a copy of which should be available in your local reference library.
