Please see the attached minuting on whether further action is needed to amend the references to 'British Subject' in any of the constitutions of the dependent territories to take account of the charges brought about by the British Nationality Act 1981. Section 51(1) of the Act (copy attached) was designed to amend automatically any enactment or instrument of the United Kingdom parliament accordingly.

I should be grateful if you could tell me from your records by what means the constitution of each dependent territory was made as it is possible that some of the constitutions are not the result of an Act of the United Kingdom Parliament and a subsequent Order-in-Council, and will need to be separately amended.
