ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

1. Thank you for forwarding a copy of the Economic and Social Council document No E/1982/3/Add. 16 of 30 March.

2. The Section of the document covering the Falkland Islands is generally correct but I should be grateful if the following amendments could be made to future issues:

(i)

Paragraph 27 should read:-

"27.

There is a small museum, run by a board of trustees, which is open to the public and is of particular interest to visitors to the Colony.

(ii) Paragraph 29 should read:

"29.

S

In addition to the broadcasting service mentioned, there is one local newspaper which is published privately once a week. There is no television service. Films and videos have already been mentioned.
