This is present policy. In 1982 alone, an advanced constitution for Anguilla was approved; in three (Montserrat, British Virgin Islands and Turks and Caicos Islands) of the remaining four depen- dencies minor constitutional amendments were made to, accord with the expressed wishes of the local governments concerned.
