views of a UK policeman who had spent some time in the ICAC.
B 6. As a result of Mr Dawson's representations to the Hong

Kong Government the Commissioner Against Corruption wrote to the
Editor of the 'Birmingham Evening Mail'. The text of the letter
has been read out to Mr Dawson over the telephone and he said
he was satisfied with it. Unfortunately, the Editor has so far
declined to publish the letter. Mr David Ford, the Hong Kong
Commissioner in London, has however written to the Editor urging
him to do so. He has not yet replied.
