Report 750809
Comparison and Opinion Beat Equipment Register
From the notes made of Inspector Maclennan's handwriting
and those from this examination, I conducted a comparison.
insufficient
There was insufficient material in the date '15-' for me to
offer an opinion. There was
material in the
original 18.00 and the modified
modified 06.00 for me to offer an
opinion. The item 'To Whom' on two lines was limited but
the handwriting was consistent in the few personal
idiosyncrasies available, as well as the speed, pressure and
fluency with the handwriting of Inspector Maclennan. The
'Rev. No.' figures were inconsistent with Inspector
Maclennan's handwriting and the material was insufficient
to make any reasonable comparison. Similarly, the figure
'6' in the 'Amn' column could not be adequately compared.
The writing in the first line of 'Issuing/Rec. Officer' was
consistent in the few personal idiosyncrasies available, also
in the speed, fluency and pressure, with Inspector
Maclennan's handwriting. The second line was insufficient
for comparison and the numerals following that entry,
written on the vertical
line, were not consistent with
Inspector Maclennan's handwriting. The item written in the
'Remarks' column was insufficient for reasonable comparison.
I am
therefore of the opinion that the two entries in the
column 'To Whom' and one entry in the column 'Issuing/Rec.
Officer' were of common authorship with the handwriting of
Inspector Maclennan.
