17. The privileges and immunities provided in

this Ordinance shall not be accorded

Evidence.

(a)

to employees or members of the service

staff of the Visa Office who carry on any

private gainful occupation in Hong Kong;

(b)

to members of the family of a person referred

to in paragraph (a) of this section;

(c)

to members of the family of an officer or

employee of the Visa Office who themselves

carry on any private gainful occupation in

Hong Kong.

18. Where any question arises whether or not any

premises or any person is covered by or entitled to any

immunity or privilege under this Ordinance or as to

the extent of any immunity or privilege, a certificate

issued by the Colonial Secretary stating any fact

relating to that question shall be conclusive evidence

of that fact.

19. The Consular Relations Ordinance shall not apply

to the Visa Office, officers and employees of the Visa

Office or member of their families or staffs.
