ENTRY OF ALIENS (INCLUDING ALIENS OF CHINESE RACE, BUT EXCLUDING PERSONS FROM CHINA, MACAU AND TAIWAN) FOR RESIDENCE IN HONG KONG
Conditions under which Aliens (including aliens of Chinese
race, but excluding Chinese persons from China, Macau and Taiwan) may be
permitted to enter Hong Kong for residence are as follows:-
(a) there is nothing on record to the detriment
(b)
of the applicant;
he must possess some special skill or
knowledge not readily available in Hong Kong;
(c) a positive attempt has been made to fill the
post by a locally domiciled person;
the employing firm is a reputable one; and
(e) the activities of the applicant and his
employer are beneficial to the Colony as a
whole: the importance of encouraging local
investment and stimulating employment are
important considerations.
