Analysis of arrivals at Lowu from 12 to 18 January 1981 of travellers holding travel documents issued in the People's Republic of China

Within this period 750 documents were recorded, covering 918 travellers. The great majority were valid for return of the 89 single journey permits recorded in this period, 9 were issued in Guangzhou; 75 were issued in places in Guangdong Province other than Guangzhou and 5 in Guizhou. Permits were issued for varying periods of validity (in the case of single journey permits the period refers to the time within which the permit had to be used). Of the 750 :-

Within this period no permit issued in Fujian Province was valid for more than 1 year and 93% were for one year. 99% of the permits issued in Guangzhou were valid for one year.
