amendments have been made to the Bill to ensure
that no practical erosions of the existing rights
of such citizens would arise. Her Majesty's
Government has also taken full and sympathetic
account of the need to emphasise the continuing
constitutional relationship between the United
Kingdom and her dependent territories and have
most recently adopted the new citizenship title
"British Dependent Territories Citizenship" to
underline this relationship, which will in no way
be altered by the proposed change in our citizenship
laws.
