NATIONALITY ACT: LETTER FROM MR WONG TIN-FAT

1. Thank you for your letter of 26 October enclosing Mr Wong's letter and your proposed reply. I cannot imagine why his letter was so long in transmission - I see it is dated 23 June.

We have made a number of suggestions on the wording of your draft. I attach an amended copy. One point concerns which categories of citizenship can be said to be parallel (your third and fourth paragraphs). In fact only British Citizenship and BDTC are parallel, and we have added a sentence to your fourth paragraph to bring this out.
