asked for the numbers of Crown Servants in each of the Dependent

Mr Tilley is a member of Standing Committee F on the

British Nationality Bill and his question is directed at the

numbers of people who would be eligible to apply for registration

under new clause 9 of the Nationality Bill. This has been tabled

by the Government as a result of pressure from Hong Kong, but,

of course, it will apply to all Dependent Territories. Part (b)

of the Question will have to be answered separately by letter

since we have had to telegraph most of the territories for the

information and have not yet had replies from all of them.

The Answer has been cleared with NTD.
