British Nationality Bill: Record of Meeting with the Foreign Commonwealth Secretary in London on 2.2.81

Sir S.Y. and Ossie have seen the record of their

meeting in London with the Rt. Hon. the Lord Carrington on

2 February. Having consulted his notes, Sir S.Y. has suggested the record be amended as follows (only the words underlined have been added) :

Para 1, 7th line from end of paragraph be amended as follows :-

...through Parliament.

He expressed

their great disappointment that HK's plea for maintaining status quo was not accepted but was relieved to note the introduction of an intermediate category for Citizenship of Dependent Territories to Separate it from the British Overseas Citizenship. However, they were perplexed by
