However, he cautioned against laying too much stress on a remote contingency scenario which might simply back-fire and suggested, with all diffidence that in the event of his failure to secure an amendment, they would be best advised to wait a couple of years before resurrecting the problem.

The group agreed to this line of approach saying that their own inclination was to aim for what was

reasonable and attainable. They thanked the Governor and expressed their confidence in his efforts on their

behalf.
