Second amendment

Delete the words "under the government of the United

Kingdom" from paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 1 to the Bill, so that

the amended paragraph 1(3) would read:

(3) The alternative requirement referred to in

sub paragraph (1)(a) of this paragraph is that on the

date of the application he is serving outside the United

Kingdom in Crown service".

Third amendment

Add the following sub-paragraph at the end of paragraph 2

of Schedule 1 to the Bill:

(f) treat the applicant as fulfilling the requirements of

paragraph 1(1)(a)(ii) and (3) as regards Crown service

if he is performing or has performed any duties or

functions for the government of the United Kingdom

or of any dependent territory".
