(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection

(1) the provisions of

Expl

(a) subsection (5) of section 1;

(b)

paragraphs (d) and (e) of subsection (3) of

section 3;

(c) paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of section 7; and

(a) that part of paragraph (f) of section 12 after

the words "section 1(4)" and ending with the

words "the Adoption Act 1976",

shall not apply to any of the dependent territories

specified in the first column of Schedule 6.

(3) For the purposes of subsection (1) -

(a)

paragraph (c) of subsection (3) of section 3

shall be so construed as to include any

international organisation of which the relevant

territory or the government of that territory

is a member by virtue of the membership of the

United Kingdom or Her Majesty's government

therein;

(b) the words "paragraphs 2 and 3 (but not paragraphs

4 or 5)" in paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of

section 5 shall be replaced by the words

"paragraphs 2 to 5";
