Do you think this is contributing to the lack of profitability in Hong Kong? In other words, are these restrictions making it difficult for RTV?

Originally we only allowed an advertising maximum of 7 minutes in the hour and we increased

it to aid the profitability of the stations. The

10 minute rule was a concession. The point is that it is not going to be extended any further.

Perhaps I can move on to another subject feature films.

We are concerned about the number of cinema films

coming on to the TV screen which are not suitable for

television. There is no provision for advertising inserts, they are badly cut and are thrown in at any possible place. Complaints are received from

the public. If these advertisement breaks are not done properly in the future breaks in films may be restricted to once every half hour instead of

at 15 minute intervals.

Are these complaints coming from both Chinese and English viewers?

They are coming mainly from English speaking sources.

To continue with the renewal conditions, changes in shareholdings where one shareholder holds more than 5% of the shares in the company have to be reported to the Authority. But I think. you are probably already aware of most of this.
