I presume that when Henry Jones and David Syme first made this application they looked at the licence conditions, were fully familiar with those details and took them into account in determining the desirability or otherwise of moving in.

That's correct.

VERNON

I would certain.y understand that of necessity you would need to have some rigid rules and regulations that would have to be abided by everybody running a TV station.

Another point I would like to make is that producing TV in Hong Kong is very different than producing TV in Australia or other English language area. In Hong Kong you have not got syndicated material in Cantonese. You have to make it yourself and it is expensive to produce. Under the licence you have to transmit at least 5 hours of television a day on each language channel.
