Teaching equipment allocation

Resulting from the increasing rate of obsolescence

of teaching equipment the Committee considers it is no longer appropriate to identify equipment allocation with new buildings, and has decided instead to indicate an amount in the recurrent block grant for such purposes.

The 1980. Recommendations for 1981-82

The three institutions' academic development plans and rough estimates of space requirements for the triennium 1981-84 were considered during the Committee's visitation in March 1980. The Committee met again in Hong Kong from 15 to 20 September 1980 to draw up recommendations on recurrent block grants, and to finalise capital requirements under the new planning procedures summarised in paragraph 11.
