the latter since every refugee passing through Argyle 4 knows only of the United States as a country of asylum and I doubt if the United Kingdom is mentioned to any degree. However, admission to the United Kingdom should remain a possibility. Here we have a situation where a British citizen has exercised a caring responsibility towards three children who had no-one else to whom they could turn and although, in law, this has no validity, Miss Campbell must surely be commended by her Government for this additional responsibility gladly undertaken on top of all the other tasks which she cheerfully performs and granted the privilege of having the entire matter looked at with understanding and with a view to resolving the present position.

My Council would be deeply appreciative if you would study this matter so that a sympathetic recommendation can be made to the appropriate Government Department.
