11. Jeanne Townsend of BCAR reported that there seemed a steady movement amongst VRS to form themselves into co- operatives and that this could be of value not only as cultural vocal points but also as a means of providing employment opportunities for VRS.

The next Asia Committee meeting will be in September when Dr Martin Barber would have taken up his Directorship of the new British Refugee Council.
