To persuade Her Majesty's Government to modify or withdraw support for any European initiative on the Arab/Israel dispute if this appears incompatible with United States policy as it develops.

To ensure that Britain continues to make a permanent contribution to Caribbean security and, in so far as Britain has influence there, to persuade us to work for the re-establishment of stability in Central America.
