I am writing to confirm that Mr Manzie has called a meeting for 3.30pm on Tuesday 5 May to enable Mr W Stones of China Light and Power to mee officials most closely involved in the management of this project.

The proposed agenda is:

i) Report on visit to Peking by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.

ii) CLP understanding of status of feasibility report and discussions in Guangdong and Peking.

iii) Next stages as seen by CLP.

Discussions on GEC/Framatome agreement

Discussion on timing of possible UK hardware/technical services/

It is hoped that the meeting will be finished by 5pm as a further meeting has been arranged on other CLP projects.
