INTRODUCTION
Ever since China's implementation of its four modernisation programmes a few years ago, there has been an increasing trend for Hong Kong's real estate developers to enter into joint ventures with various Chinese authorities or companies in the construction of housing estates, including hotels, in various cities and towns in China, as shown in local press reports, mostly in the left-wing papers.
Listed here are housing estate projects in China by Hong Kong businessmen in the past five years based entirely on information appearing in press reports and in China News Reports 21, 24, 25 and 30. For convenience, the developers have been listed in alphabetical order.
