further opportunities for orders from the second major bus company

China Motorbus Company (CMB) later in the year. Under a clause

in the Public Omnibus Services Ordinance, new buses must be of

Commonwealth manufacture. This effectively gives UK firms a

monopoly of all new orders.

REPLACEMENT AIRPORT FOR KAI TAK

5.

Kai Tak airport will become saturated and need replacement

by 1990. US firm, Parsons Overseas (with whom the UK Civil

decision on airport due in 1982. If replacement is built, there

will be many opportunities for British firms.
