possible exception to this would be if the Hong Kong lessor was
a wholly-owned subsidiary of a UK company.
17 Hong Kong lessors would have to satisfy ECGD's creditworthiness
criteria. In practice this means that they would have to be rather
more substantial than many counter trade agents and would probably
be limited to banks and major trading companies.

A list of appropriate Hong Kong institutions is at Annex C. It
is by no means exclusive however and companies wishing to use other
intermediaries are advised to contact ECGD (Mr J. Brown
tel: 606-6699 ex749) at the earliest opportunity.
