Dear Mr.Dachtera;

Your letters of June 11 and 19 to Mr. Li Xiquan, Mr. Xiao Derong and me have been received, and for all the attached some of the state maps of U.S., copies of your 1:6,000,000 map of the People's Republic of China and many colour photos taken for our colleagues during your last visit, I hereby express our thanks on behalf of Mr.Xiao, Mr. Li and others to you.

At your request, we are checking your metro insets of several prominent chinese cities in pinyin. Soon they will be sent back to you together with our comments on them.

With regard to your 1:6,000,000 map of the People's Republic of China and the map of the Peoples of China on its back, we also found some points of their contents not match with the principles shown on China's maps. We would like to exchange views with Mr. Darley during his coming visit.
