: All our friends are very concerned about the question of 1997. As to this question, I can only say this much:

Firstly, no matter which way it is resolved in the future, uh, we will have the interests of Hong Kong investors, I will guarantee, firmly, will not damage the interests of the Hong Kong Investors. This is the first point.

The second point I want to say is, the present pros - perity in Hong Kong is very useful to us, China.

The future prosperity of Hong Kong will similarly be very useful to us.

We hope to see Hong Kong continue to prosper.

Thirdly, we hope the Government of Hong Kong can take suitable measures to curb the speculative atmosphere,
