A word of thanks, following my return to Britain via China and Japan, for the splendid assistance provided by the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Airforce during my visit from 29 March to 1 April. I seemed to spend at least half my time in Hong Kong aloft in one of your helicopters. I was able to see much more than would otherwise have been possible, including both a birdseye view of the border operations and the spectacular sight of the flight of Chinese junks which chose to sail in during my stay. I was taken every- where with smooth efficiency, and once again had an opportunity to admire the skill of your pilots. Could you let them know, on behalf of myself and my colleagues, how much this was appreciated.
