on Hong Kong. Now considering what to do next as well as preparing

contingency planning against slide in confidence.

Vietnamese Refugees

Sorry we cannot agree new quota now. If situation deteriorates

in Hong Kong, position will have to be reconsidered.

Multi-fibre Arrangement

HMG's policy not yet firmed up but do not want to cut back Hong

Kong's quotas again.
