According to recent news reports over 60% of registered illegal immigrants from Macao have been granted permission to stay in long Kong. If the reports were true, the leniency and far-sightedness of the long Kong Government's immigration policy would be clearly manifested and deserve public commendation.

I hereby take the liberty to request your esteemed Department to furnish me with the actual figures of those illegal immigrants from Macao having been permitted to stay in Hong Kong and those already repatriated Your prompt reply will be appreciated.
